Biography
I was the first female to attain the rank of Captain and to retire from Summerville Police Department; My biggest accomplishment during the last 2 years as the Department Accreditation Manager was that Summerville Police Department achieved State Accreditation. 
Initial officer certification occured while employed with Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.
I was the PTA President for Newington and due to the sale of sun catchers, placed the first computers in the school for student use while my grown children were attending school. 
I was the Captain of the "Blue Light Specials" - a team of law enforcement and friends who raised monies for the Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. We raised $20,000.00 over the 3 years we participated. 
Mother of 3 grown children and 2 stepchildren and share grandparenting of 7 with my husband who is employed with Dorchester County Sheriff's Office as the Lieutenant over the Crime Scene division.

Education
Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in in Criminal Justice and a minor in English from Charleston Southern University in 2000. Graduated 1988 with an Associate of Arts from Trident Technical College. 
Graduated from Trident Technical College in 1988. 
Completed the Basic Officer Certification in 1989.
